this is ALL i have…

6am…

Jabalpur station…

Me and my elder sister Shikha di are waiting for the train…

I was in 9th standard… i was going to drop Shikha di at her sasural…

Bilaspur (it was in Madhya Pradesh then)

6:30am…

Our train was late…

Another train comes… Some people got down to fill their water bottles…

An old fragile man gets down with a Potli in his hand..

Small potli

The man was really old…

Suddenly a young thief tried to snatch his potli. The old man was alert, he managed to grab the thief’s hand…

I got up to see what’s happening…

What I saw was an amazing incident… something which changed my view of life…

The old man held the thief…

The thief started hitting him to release his hand… He wanted to run but that old man held his hand so tight that the thief could not.

Punches, kicks, boxes. He tried everything but the old man didn’t leave his hand.

The old man was determined. Now the thief was getting nervous; he had never imagined that an old man can hold him so tight.

Cops came and caught that thief…

Old man was panting and his potli fell down.

Some old pieces of clothes… a water lota… and almost nothing else…

The old man was bleeding from his forehead and nose…

The cops started beating that thief who was still looking at the old man with disbelief…

One cop looked at the old man’s potli.

“Iske liye itni maar kha raha tha tu buddhe… kya hai iss potli mein? Phatey kapde… chindi?”

Old man was collecting it and replied, “ab jo hai.. yehi hai…. Jeevan mein”

I was in tears, and even now while writing and recollecting it…

Uski zindagi bhar ki kamai… uski virasat… uski potli…

I have put this incident in my script “Buddham Sharanam Gachchami”

An old person who fought in his life and collected everything in a potliuska sab kuch

Uski poori umra thi uss potli mein…

Life Is One Way Traffic…

Jo Beet Gaya… Wo Ghuzar Gaya….

Don’t crib… Don’t cry…

Just try….

Try to live and be happy…

In my daily life I meet a lot of people… with almost same problems…

“kuch ho nahi raha hai sir… kitna try kar rahe hain”

I get irritated if my creative work gets hampered because of any reason or some reason…

But I move on… That’s the only way… You can’t get stuck with it…

I have faced rejection and humiliation several times… but I consider that as process…

Not hurdles… You can’t stop me…. I will change my route but will approach my destination again…

Specially in relationship people have fixed ideas…

Whoever cheats .. both suffer…

But don’t live in past.. as it creates awkwardness..

Have guts to face that person who left you or you left him/her.

Its one life… can’t live with so much of confusion and suffocation…

Live…

Forget jo hua….

Achcha hua….negative is out from life…

Life is one way traffic… don’t try to get into wrong lane… you will get stuck…

Just move on….

You know what I mean…:)

Sanjay Verma… Editor Of My Life…

Its important to know what is an editor…

Editor is the one who actually redesigns the film… individual scenes…

by using different cutting patterns and makes the best combination of the shots… to create the best of the moments…

Editor also gives the right direction to a director…

Yes, editor sometimes directs the director…

And i am proud to have such a great editor with me… in my both films…

Bhoothnath and Kal Kissne Dekha…

Mr. Sanjay Verma…

Long back i met him while making  a programme on editors for a film awards show, and since then i knew that we will work together…

I was shooting Bhoothnath non-stop and Sanjay ji was editing it simultaneously…

he gave the right graphing to the film… the right sur

His contribution in designing my films is tremendous…

He is a rare person… a rare technician… a great human being…

I feel i have so much to learn from him…

Since last few days i have been going through a lot of stress… i even developed chest pain…

Irritation… creative suffocation…

But Sanjay ji handled it so correctly and managed to convince me over few things…

Its a rare quality…

He is not just the editor of my films but also of my life… He edited and removed bad patch from life…

I will always be grateful to him… forever…

I hope i get to work with him again and again and again…

man with rare humanqualities...

man with rare human qualities...

Quality Of Life…

This is what we don’t bother about… Quality of life…

We work so hard to die everyday… ha ha..

Really…

All bad habits.. In the name of stress and routine…

Pan, Gutkha, Junk food, Wrong relationships etc etc…

We have a list of things we do which is just not required…

Nature provides us such good support but how much we try to die using different habits.

Quality of life… it doesn’t come just like that.

It comes through a practice. Through awareness.

We Indian follow  a “sab chalta hai..” attitude.

Some of us are very quality conscious but most of us are careless.

This time will not come back as we age…

Let’s live it up…

Whenever I go abroad I feel western people have more options to live better and they are more designed…

Not that we don’t have them but somewhere we take a lot of time to get settled, to become something… then to hold onto that status, we have to go through lot of pressures… kids, education, family, relations etc etc take up so much of us away from us…

I was chatting with someone very nice the other day and I realised still people live in suffocation…

Suffocation of all kinds…

Let’s remove them… Let’s become more friendly with life.

And let’s support each other in leading a better life…

Let’s write better… Let’s read better…

Let’s cook better… Let’s eat better…

Let’s think better… Let’s talk better…

Let’s get tired… Let’s sleep better…

Let’s have a good, better quality life…

What say…:)
